Legislation authorizing the extension of FEMA borrowing authority to $18.5 billion was signed by the President Bush late Monday,
November 21, 2005. Follow up authorizations were completed the next day and FEMA began once again to process Letter of Credit
requests from Write Your Own (WYO) companies. Normal WYO company processing and paying of flood insurance claims can now proceed.
