| Francis Creighton Vice President and Chief Lobbyist
| Francis Creighton is Vice President and Chief Lobbyist at the Mortgage Bankers Association, where he lobbies Capitol Hill in regard to affordable housing and other issues important to the real estate finance industry. Before coming to MBA, Creighton worked in several capacities on Capitol Hill, most recently as Legislative Director for Rep. Steve Israel.
From 1999 to 2001, Creighton was a presidential appointee at the U.S. Department of Labor, where he focused on employee benefits in the private sector. He left government at the start of 2001 to be Senior Counsel for Public Affairs at GCI Group, an international public relations consulting firm.
Prior to 1999, Creighton was Legislative Assistant for Rep. Sam Gejdenson, focusing on pension and campaign financing reforms. He also worked in the office of Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan.
Creighton received a Master's degree in Public Policy from Georgetown University, where he is an adjunct faculty member, and a Bachelor's degree (magna cum laude) in Political Science and History from the University at Albany, State University of New York.
