| Erick Gustafson Senior Vice President Legislative and Political Affairs Government Affairs
| Erick Gustafson is Senior Vice President of Legislative and Political Affairs for the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). As the chief representative for MBA on Capitol Hill and at the White House, Gustafson is responsible for providing focus and direction to MBA's advocacy agenda. He also directs the association's political strategy through MORPAC, MBA's political action committee, and the MBA grassroots program, the Mortgage Action Alliance.
Gustafson has presented testimony on many occasions before the U.S. Congress, state legislatures and state regulatory commissions. He has appeared in numerous national publications including The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal and has published a book titled Trial and Error: United States v. Microsoft.
Gustafson also has appeared on several broadcast programs including the CBS Evening News, CNN and "The O'Reilly Factor," a Fox News program. Before joining MBA, he served as vice president for federal and state affairs at the grassroots advocacy organization Citizens for a Sound Economy, and he has served as senior legislative aide to U.S. Reps. Mark Foley and Dan Miller.
Gustafson received his undergraduate degree in history and economics from the University of South Florida at New College and has completed graduate work at George Washington University.
